Self-Help Groups/12 Step Programs:
St. Timothy hosts Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous regularly, to help those in need.
The Yakima Food Bank
Our parish collects food to contribute to the Yakima Food Bank which provides food for the hungry in Yakima.
Voices for Children Foundation
We collect different items each month for displaced and neglected children. These include articles of clothing, toys, toiletries and more for the Buddy Bags given to children who often have nothing except the clothes on their back.
Sandwiches at Sunrise Outreach
Church member make 250+ sandwiches weekly for the homeless at Sunrise Outreach.
Since 2009, Rod’s House has been a resource center for more than 1,000 homeless and at-risk youth between the ages of 13 and 24. We cook meals for the youth at Rod’s House twice a month. Check the calendar and come join us. Please pray for the kids who utilize the services of Rod’s House. These are kids who most likely do not have anyone else praying for them.
The Parish Library has a number of theological books for study as well as numerous titles on spiritualty. It is located in the entryway of the church and is open to the public for checking out texts.
The Plaid Door
St. Timothy’s sponsors a consignment shop that offers clothing and housewares at affordable prices. Proceeds from sales support grant monies to agencies that benefit Yakima and the ministries of St. Timothy’s. Learn more about the Plaid Door Thrift and Consignment Shop.
The St. Timothy’s prayer chain is a dedicated group of 12-15 members of the church who pray faithfully for anyone and for any situation. To make a request, contact the parish office, a member of the Vestry, or the prayer request form.
